Interview with GM Boris Alterman - by Harvey Mandell
GM Boris Alterman has been a prominent participant in the now defunct Kasparovchess.com and now is a leading member of the Internet Chess Club where he comments on grandmaster games, plays blitz against all comers and is available for private lessons. He is the grandmaster member of the trio which developed the program for the leading chess computer program recently engaged in the famous match against former world champion Garry kasparov. GM Alterman now lives in Rishon L'Tzion, Israel, where he is a chess professional.

Interview with Sofi Polgar - by Harvey Mandell
The Polgar sisters are the chess world's parallel to the tennis world's Venus and Serena and their father. Schooled at home in languages and chess by their father, Laszlo, the Polgar sisters, Sophia (Sofi), Judit (Judith) and Zsuzsa (Susan) reached world class stature at very early ages. Judit is a GM and among the top 20 players in the world. Susan has been woman's world champion and GM and Sofi is now WGM and IM. Susan and Sofi no longer play in tournaments regularly but are engaged in teaching. The sisters are scattered, Judit in their native Hungary, Susan in Queens, New York and Sofi in Rishon L'Zion, Israel.
In addition to being wife and mother, Sofi is a fixture on kasparovchess.com, teaching, commenting on grandmaster games, and taking on all comers in blitz, chatting in the chat box all the while with her devoted followers.
